Fernanda Ortiz

Fernanda Ortiz is an Argentine choreographer, dancer and dance mediator who creates multimedia works from an intersectional and power-critical perspective. Her focuses are: human being, perception, movement and body in relation to political and social phenomena, as in UNFORGETTABLE (2018/2020). She presents her choreographic works in many different places and contexts. She studied dance at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, art history and fine arts at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. In 2019 she took over the artistic direction of the K3 youth club at the K3 I Center for Choreography I Tanzplan Hamburg on Kampnagel. As a dance mediator she teaches at K3 | Tanzplan Hamburg and in TUSCH projects at the LICHTHOF Theater, among others. She is currently researching and working on the interface of dance and digitality (motion capture, VR/AR, games), questioning post-digital and post-human narratives and continuing her artistic practice in the digital realm. Her project RADICAL DANCE SERIES (2021) with interactive choreographies can currently be experienced at re:publica22 and documenta fifteen.
