Mantas Stabacinskas is a choreographer and dancer based in Lithuania. Originally from Kaunas but creatively active not only outside his city and his country, too. He has been awarded various awards by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, Kaunas city and the dance community.
During the 25 years of his dancing activity, Mantas worked with various famous Lithuanian and foreign choreographers and Theatre directors (Gintaras Varnas, Kamilė Gudmonaitė, Yossi Berg&Oded Graf, Johannes Wieland, Jo Stromgren, Birutė Letukaitė), created over 70 different dances in various performances and projects, participated in 85 international festivals in Europe, America and Asia.
The core of his practice is born from the joy, new experiences, discoveries of his careeer, and most importantly from avoiding monotonous work. For the last 5 years, he's been trying to work and share his experience with those who have not yet discovered dance: it can help them to free themselves, express themselves, and help feel better. At the same time, he learns a lot from the communities he works with and tries to bring together everyone, regardless of age, experience and abilities.
The keywords guiding his practice in the Dance Well journey are reconnection, feel good, let go, explore, share, discover.
