Last news

The second of the six episodes of The Dance Well podcast is online: a series dedicated to the creative processes and the production of the performances by international choreographers with the Dance Well communities in each city of the project.

In this episode of The Dance Well podcast, we travel to Kaunas, Lithuania, to meet a group of dancers and their facilitators who have been gathering for three years. The oldest dancer is 91.
Together, this group created the performance ‘Dance for a Thousand Years’, choreographed by Greta Grinevičiūtė and Agnietė Lisičkinaitė. This work, initiated by the Lithuanian Dance Information Centre, premiered on October 6, 2024, at the Kaunas Picture Gallery.

This narrative podcast episode is produced in partnership with the NARA journalists' collective.
The episode's author is Karolis Vyšniauskas.
Photographs and a written essay (in Lithuanian) by Julija Stankevičiūtė will be published on the NARA.lt website.
The podcast's music features an excerpt from ‘Dance for a Thousand Years’ by Dominykas Digimas, along with original NARA music by Martynas Gailius. The studio voiceover was recorded at Martynas Mažvydas National Library in Vilnius, with sound engineering by Justina Šimonytė.
