Les mémoires vives is a creation by Agnès Butet and Alice Roland, performers of Gaëlle Bourges' performances, specifically of the piece AUSTERLITZ, that brings on stage the community of the monthly Dance Well classes "Dopamine!". The creative process consisted in a series of dance and writing workshops culminating in the final public presentation of the work.
Inspired by the work process of Gaëlle Bourges' play AUSTERLITZ, each workshop has been an opportunity for participants to explore their individual memories of dance, movement or art, and to weave links between these singular stories, in order to produce a collective memory to be put into space and words.
“What brings you to dance here today?” is the starting point for this choreographic and musical score.
The work Les Mémoires Vives premiered on September 28th 2024, in the frame of the festival Excentriques at La Briqueterie CDCN Val de Marne.
