Dissemination event in Vilnius

Last news

On May 23rd, at the LMTA Study Campus, the final publication of the project was presented to the students of the Music and Theatre Academy of Vilnius by the team of the Lithuanian Dance Information Centre.
The event was shaped as a workshop for LMTA students, dedicated to exploring the application of contemporary dance in working with people who have movement disorders or Parkinson’s disease.

During the workshop the students had access to theoretical insights into Parkinson's disease (with Dr. Ramunė Dirvanskienė), the international experience of Dance Well (with Ieva Pranckūnaitė, project coordinator of the Lithuanian Dance Information Center), and the etiquette of interacting with people with mobility disabilities (with Ugnė Šakūnienė, project coordinator of the Lithuanian Union of People with Disabilities).

In the second part of the workshop, they experienced a practical Dance Well class taught by the professional dancers and choreographers who teach dance classes in Kaunas.
